Default Shoot question,

Oh. I didn't think of that: a Val or a Sagittarius or some-such. In any
event, leaving it attached for as long as possible is best. My Sags
sometimes get all smooshed up against the tank wall and I have to cut them
out when I want to clean the glass. If I take a clump that's not well
developed and replant it elsewhere it will often just vegetate and
eventually I'll end up composting it.

I have a question about this blade grassy plant i have in my tank, it

has
grown a shoot with a new little plant, would it be wise to leave or cut

it
and let it float near the top of the water until it grow bigger

My guess is that you have a Vallisneria of some sort, and the "shoot" is a
runner. If so, just leave it be. The baby plant will eventually drop

down and
root itself.
