This is not a reply on the topic, but on the topic of lighting the Hagen
Aqua Glo tubes say 18000K but they look more in the red range of the
spectrum. Can anyone clarify this for me. Also I've got a 6500K tube
running on the same ballast which gives a sunlight type look to the tank,

is
this a good combo for the plants?

I got a AHSupply light kit, made a hood, looks great... so great that

I'm
deciding to play with the lighting...... the colors persay.... the 5300k

55w
that I have is pretty "yellow-white" and I'm looking for some ideas on
whether a 6400, or a 10k light would be more yellow or more white, or

just
too much... or could a Dark Blue bulb be good or ok or indifferent...

obviously, i'm new to lights, and the "concept" behind them, but I'm

open
and eager to learn...
