You could try old dustbins, (the plastic kind that care redundant
since wheelie bins) . Cut the bottom out. Sink the bin into a hole and
fill back in with the excavated earth leaving a raised barrier edge.
Well, I have one of those in mind, but it would keep its bottom and be
raised on blocks.
