A newspaper article suggested putting water for birds in one of those
silicone baking forms, like a loaf tin, because then when it freezes
solid,
you can just squeeze it and throw it away easily and refill it.
or you can put a candle in a biscuit tin underneath a upside down metal
dustbin lid.
