Default plant/heater affection

I thought they bend according to the light source. Is some of the growth
still goes stright up?

Greetings,

I recently put a couple bunches of (what I think is) Brazilian milfoil
(looks alot like cabomba) in my 6 gallon tank, and in the 2 days it has
been in there, some braches have bent about 50 degrees and are actually
touching my water heater (which is set to 25C or about 78F).

Is this normal? The branches look like they are about to snap in a
desperate attempt to hug my heater!

Here is some extra info about my tank, just in case:

I also have 2 plastic plants, Malaysian driftwood, rainbow rock and pebble
substrate. Water pH is about 6.4. The tank is nearing completion of the
cycling phase with 2 leopard danios (they're doing great!) Ammonia and
nitrite levels look good. Slightly cloudy water, but not too bad...
starting to clear. BIO-Wheel filter is active.

Thanks in advance for a any input/advise.
