Default OT (sort of) The New Rose by Spike Milligan

The New Rose

The new rose
trembles with early beauty
The babe sees the beckoning carmine
the tiny hand
clutches the cruel stem
The babe screams
The rose is silent
Life is already telling lies.

BTW saw a brown butterfly (to far away to identify) in bright sunshine this
afternoon. Merseyside

They are about on a sunny day. Here in Cornwall we've been reading
reports of butterflies in the County since New Year. They have been
reported in the specialist newsgroups since then. Also, which is mind
boggling, frog spawn on Boxing Day. Early, or what?

from being gruntled.
