Transplanting Garlic
Taking the opportunity of the good weather yesterday, I dug over a bed
that should have been cleared in the autumn, and found a number of
garlic bulbs that had been missed when harvesting. Some were smal bulbs
where all the cloves had started growing, others were almost single
cloves that had grown into a rounded clove shape, but still very small,
with leaves upto about 3 inches.
I spent half an hour on my knees separating and transplanting, but now
wonder if I really wasted my time. Will they grow on properly, or are
they more likely to run up to seed?
