Default Garden Vouchers

till.
So the RHS were going to make excess profit of 8 on the book costing 16.99
if I had bought it. I also wanted stuff in the GC part but that can't be
amalgamated so the bill is over 25.
Later at a GC, one of a small group called Squires, the lady on the till
said yes we give change if it's less than 5 if over you get vouchers and
change.
I despair sometimes.

I'd have gone off to find £8.01-worth of something, even if I didn't
really need it, or do a deal with another customer.

Personally, I hate being given vouchers, and recall the Jasper Carrot
sketch about his preference for those issued by the Bank of England. I
got stiffed with £20 of Woollie ones, and have the same in Boots',
though even in a big Boots I can't find anything I want for that much.
