The best thing is to get it into the ground as soon as possible. But now you've had it indoors, you'd better not put it out until the warmer weather later in the spring, because it won't be hardened off.

If its going to flower this year, it will already have flower buds. They look bigger and fatter than the leaf buds. If not, how long till it flowers? Who can say, it depends on so many things. Hybrids are usually not as bad as the species which can take decades.
