Default Potato Variety Recommendation

Can someone recommend a main crop please?

Location is east yorkshire and I'm looking for a disease/pest resistant
main
crop that will do well in heavy soil.
Kestrel do well as an early, but tried Maris Piper for the main crop last
year and they were poor yield and well munched.

Preferably a variety suited to roast/jacket treatment if possible.

We garden on Thames silt which is acid and a mixture including a
significant proportion of clay, so, for example, much too heavy for King
Edwards. We find "Victoria" is an excellent spud for roasting and jackets,
it keeps well for us and appears to be stronger/healthier growing than
other varieties. We also like "Romano" which is a red early maincrop also
good for roasting.

Thanks Bob

I'll give Victoria a try this year.
