I have read in an article before that the best way to avoid these leaf cutter bees is to cover your affected plants with cheese cloth or loose netting. You should only do this at times when the bees are most active. I've heard too that pesticides or any insecticides would not help avoid them. So do not do that. You may just harm your plants.
