It stops the grass growing so well, so if you want a nice grassy lawn
then it can be *a problem.
If you don't mind it, then no, no reason to remove it

It's rather nice if you can get rid of the grass and just have the

The moss does not grow evenly, it goes alll umpy and bumpy.
