I almost sure all Honda small engines are 4 stroke and as far as I know they
don't actually make a 2 stroke any more.
The one I had on a water pump was certainly 4 Stroke.
If you know your way around engines it's usually fairly easy to tell by
position of carburettor and exhaust and if there is a valve cover or not.
