Have just brought a small (one foot high) grapevine in a pot. The pot
just seems way too small. Is there any reason not to re-pot it straight
away at this time of year?

In pots, I normally use three quarters john innes no 3 and a quarter of
so called general purpose compost.

Would you say this is a reasonably good combination to use for a
grapevine? Thanks.

Ignore the top growth, vines can go yards from a tiny pot, check the roots
if the pot is full move it on but if not wait until it is.

Thanks. This one we got came from Morrisons. What about the soil/compost
mixture? Novice would appreciate advice on this.
