Is Jeyes fluid a suitable disinfectant for used pots and bird feeders? If
now what is good and readily available please?

Yes Jeyes Fluid is good for that BUT it is extremely persistent and you will
not (a) get plants to grow or (b) get birds to visit until the smell has
completely worn off which could take some time.

I use the cheapest available household bleach on the rare occasions
when I bother to sterilize things.
