Default Planting hanging baskets now

In article ,

Can anyone
suggest alternatives (other than begonias which we are not keen on)

I'd plant fuchsia if you can get them or even start some small ones from
cuttings, they flower later .

Or why not see if there's any bargains in your local garden centre?
Plant into basket, cut back hard and water and usually most stuff
responds by putting out new growth.

Verbena can flower late too
