If you are in a climate where you can grow the tree outside, you might have done, because nature will help you control it. If you have to overwinter it indoors, then you probably didn't get rid of it completely, and there are probably eggs somewhere, and you will need to be very vigilant, as an infestation can explode in a few days and leave you with a problem you'll never solve and your plant will never do very well.
