Winter wind and rain here. South East coast of the Isle of Wight.

Ferries out of Portsmouth and Poole stopped I hear :-(

What have you got and where are you?

The good point? Tops the water butts up and settles any dust about ;-(

Why is everybody so eager to rush into winter? They complain they've had
no summer (it's
not been THAT bad) and one bit of wind and rain and it's winter!

Enjoy the benefits of Autumn when it really does arrive in 2 weeks' time.
There was a
beautiful mist over the water meadows a few days ago and sunshine which
lifted my spirits
no end.

Kath it's not a case of being eager to rush into Winter. Winter has rushed
into us ;-))

Doesn't bother me. I know that we have no control over the weather and we
are going to get what we are going to get, whether we like it or not ;-))

Autumn will follow Summer and Winter will follow Autumn. It has to my
certain knowledge for over 70 years, why should it change?
