Hi,

Did you check the plug gap? I had an almost new plug with no spark until I reduced the gap a touch.
When testing against the block, do you have metal to metal contact ?
It will need the earth to spark.

I changed a ignition coil pack from another mower to find there was nothing wrong with it..

OH, I also cleaned the flywheel side contacts to improve conductivity..
