if you're really looking for more work
you can dig along the edges and put down
a barrier so that surrounding grasses and
weeds cannot keep sending runners and roots
into your garden. the plants underneath
will still have viable roots for several
years. the surrounding plants will
gladly send their roots into this space
to get to the moisture and nutrients and
they are very good at finding gaps to
push through.

heading that off will pay off later.

otherwise, give it a shot of water if it
is dry out, that will help keep the leaves
in place when the wind comes.
