Is it possible to move a mature Gardenia radicans? It's flowering at the
moment, but I'd like to move it to a different location. Any ideas/help
would be much appreciated.

It's not the time of year for that, wait until next winter.

'kay. But when it *is* next winter, what should I do? Prune? (Severely?)
Root prune? (Severely?) Feed? (Before? After?)

Root prune would help. One thing you could do now is get a sharp spade
and cut/dig a circle roughly the diameter of the 'drip line' of the
Gardenia, basically cutting the roots on preparation for
transplanting, which should hopefully help minimise transplant shock.
Then do the deed in winter...

I've moved quite a few large-ish trees and shrubs that way and haven't
lost one as yet (touch wood).
