Why not keep it on your own hard drive with another portable HD as
backup? You then have total control and only need to upload to Flickr
or similar to let others see them, if they then delete the photos
it's no big deal because you can upload them again if need be.

I agree with Bob, why rely on another to store and organise photos when
portable HDs are so cheap these days.
As for what seems to be more an anti Flickr rant than anything else, I've
been on Flickr for 5 years and have 8775 photos on my site and never had a
problem.
