Default zoysia plugs

Are the zoysia grass plugs I see advertised good for thin spots in the lawn?

Only for your summer camp or if you live in South Florida. Zoysia is very root
hardy & dense growing, but the top is extremely frost sensitive. In most of the
country it will turn solid brown in September, and green in April. Once you
have it, you will never get rid of it unless you dig up the entire lawn.
