one curious exception. There is a single shoot from the
middle growing straight up, high, high, high. Have never had
bamboo before, so should I be pleased? alarmed?




If you'd caught it in time, you could have had a tasty young bamboo shoot
omelet. That's the time to murder shoots for cooking, when they're an inch or
so long and tender....
