Here is a YouTube video about how to make a kind of central Asian
flute, the "kuray". It takes its name from the plant it's made of.

It looks something like cow parsley or giant hogweed. But if it's
giant hogweed or Persian hogweed, the guy is asking to have his
hands burned off by the way he's handling it - surely his Bashkir
mentor would have warned him?
