I have found the best way to get rid of algae weeds etc between paving

Is there any suitable solution (to reduce the speed at which weeds algae
come back between the slabs) which perhaps I can immerse the brush in
when raking out the muck between the slabs ?
Your help please

There is no effective chemical treatment that will prevent both weeds
and moss/algae from returning. A residual weed killer such as
Pathclear will stop weeds for about 3 months but this should be
sprayed down the gaps - it won't work if you dimply dip the brush in
it.

You'd be better off filling the gaps between the slabs. If a small
area you can trowel a concrete mix into them; if its a bigger area one
option is to (on a dry day!) get some fine ready-mixed sand and cement
and brush this into the gaps until almost level with the slabs. Then
using a hose head on a GENTLE sprinkler setting, or preferably a
watering can with a medium rose, GENTLY wet the area (if you don't do
it gently you'll simply wash the mix out of the gaps). Or get one of
these:
