i was rather surprised it cleared that quickly, good
thing the rain stopped for a bit.

the garden pathways were still under water for another
hour. when i was looking about 8pm the pathways were
clear and i could walk around. all that work i did on
drainage paid off. i will be able to get back out
there sooner than i expected.

we've had water across the gardens in past years
like this, but it has never gone across the road
out front nor has the west ditch flowed backwards
(from north to south).

more rain still likely, but i'm hoping it won't
be the 2+ inches the weather forecast says.
