Default A slack year

I, personally have taken advantage of this disasterous year, what with
floods and more floods, drought and more floods by ridding my garden of
everything not needed and siting others where I should have planted them in
the first place when I was cabbage green to gardening.
Now I have a blank garden to start over again, no weeds, I keep on raking
them in but I know they will rear up again.
I have started to buy and plant some flowering shrubs, which is a thing I
didn't do, not knowing where to put them when the garden is full of veg. Is
a hydrangea a shrub? I only have 2 rhubarb plants now, I can't give it away
in the season.
I bought and sowed some 50 winter pansy seed a couple of weeks ago and they
are showing now, something to see rather than nothing when we look out of
the kitchen window in winter!

Thats all
