eating all but the bottom six inches?

groundhog/woodchuck?

here that is what it looks like if a larger
one comes through. they do seem to be selective
some romps. i can have a whole field of newly
sprouted alfalfa or trefoil and instead of
eating that, they'd rather risk their lives
going after the bean sprouts. after a while
they ignored the larger bean plants and went
after the soybean sprouts. before the beans
came up they went after only certain weeds
out in the back strawberry patch.
