Because Baz i was asking for recommendations. i have been to the
Stihl dealer and the machines are very expensive and i was wondering not
only should I opt for the more expensive but whether i could get away
with a slightly smaller or cheaper model or brand. Which is why i
replied that i thanked you for the makita recommendation and would go
and search them out.

My reply - So , why ask? was meant to be humerous 'cos Stihl are the dogs
testes, and the most expensive. You could not ever justify such a large
lump of money for a big grunt of a machine to be used 2 or 3 times a year!
In your lifetime you would probably never have the choke off of it.
