Well, I'm assuming the horse owner has checked that out, or gets the supply
from a trusted source etc. But Kate would know where the wood shavings come
from. Timber mills before the wood is treated perhaps?

Agreed Sacha, timber products would normally be fully machined before
treating with
preservative, I would have thought.
