About 15 years ago I bought this charming little plant in a 3 inch
pot, "suitable for the rockery" the label said.

Well 15 years on it has taken over the plot it is in, this picture
shows around one sixth of the clump, it has been sprayed around the
edges to try to contain it.

It's a lovely plant to have under bushes, but it won't stay there,
it's a thug.
It's name?
I don't know, it devoured the label many years ago.

PS

This is another that's going a bomb this spring.

Sounds like Polygonum Pink Bubbles. We have it all over the place, just
as you describe! It gets into crevices in the greenhouses too. I rather
like it but it's definitely very determined!

Not that one Sacha, I have pink bubbles and it makes a good basket plant
Dug these pictures up I took last year.

Does it stay there? In the baskets I mean? Maybe what we have romping
around isn't 'Pink Bubbles'. Hmmm....
