Seems to work for me. I wouldn't use sterilising solution (which is good
for winemaking)

Not looking seems to work for me. (So far).


Let's be clear that Kilner jars need to be sterilised in an oven and not
with the same stuff you use in winemaking, the snipping doesn't make that
obvious.
Do not try to preserve in a Kilner jar unless you do.
