Not really if you only need it to the nearest degree.
Say the temperature is 72F, take 32 off (40) and divde by 2, so you have
20. Add on a tenth (2), so in Centigrade it's 22 - Actual conversion
22.22
59F 27 14 rounding up 14+1.4 15C rounding down
