You should have learnt some navigation skills from them , Beer is in
East Devon.

If you are going to make up stories get things right.

On the south coast, so that counts as south in my book. I think Mike
was un-aware of the proper names of the districts and just capitalised
south by mistake.

The districts and unitary authorities of Devon being these:

North Devon
Mid Devon
East Devon
Exeter
Teignbridge
Torbay
South Hams
Plymouth
West Devon
Torridge
