Default Copper wire to deter algae in ponds

Cormaic installed one on his home roof and swore by it.
On the strength of that, J made a copper cap for the point of our
hexagonal summerhouse; to prevent moss on the cedar shingle roof and
that still works too.

Anne W Jackson (who also used to post here) used to have a business
installing copper roof strips; iirc Glasgow Council were an enthusiastic
customer until the price of copper rose so high it turned those roofs
into targets for thieves ;-(
