Default Fruiting trees in Melbourne?

Hello all.

I'm considering putting some fruit trees in the front yard here in Melbourne
but I've got no idea what might be suitable or grow well with good yield in
this climate.

We had blood plums and apricots years ago and they seemed to do ok. The
neighbours have apples and they seem ok too.

Are there any ideal fruit trees though?

Cheers all
Peter
