Default Pittosprorum

Is now the right time to cut back / trim my pittosporums? Or should I
have done this back in winter?

How much should I trim the plants to make it grow faster and bushier?

These were planted a year ago for screening and hedging, and only had
light pruning now and then, but should I now be very aggressive in my
trimming?

I live in Melbourne.
