Default Garden beds, what to plant?

I have recently put in new raised garden beds, one is west facing and sees
sun from early morning until about 3 pm. The other is north facing and sees
sun from about 10am until approx 4pm.I was hoping to use the west facing one
as a vege garden and the other as a flower bed, any suggestions welcome and
I am in Melbourne's South East suburbs.

Regards Michael.
