Default Repotting Wallsai (ficus)...

Hi folks, i'm going bonsai crazy since i bought a little juniper bonsai in
Chinatown Los Angeles 3 weeks ago. I'm in Southern California and it's pretty
much early spring and new branches are coming out like crazy and will need
pruning soon. But...

I just bought 2 more Bonsai from Wallmart. Sorry, I know it's shunned upon but
I couldn't resist. I bought the 2 healthiest Ficus Retusas and yes they had the
little old Oriental man with glued on rocks. So anyhow, I literally chisiled
off the gravel layer and replaced the remaining space with potting soil.

Anyhow, the soil for all of the above seem to be regular potting soil. I want
to eventually move them to a real bonsai mix. I've been reading all the
available literature on the Net and also bought a book and it seems proper soil
is the key to long term success. Anyhow, should I just wait a year like a
normal repotting period (or) since these are not in the proper bonsai soil
should I repot as soon as I can?
