[IBC] ABS New Talent Competition
The ABS New Talent Competition was first held last year at the ABS
convention in Milwaukee, and it was a great success. Our own Rob Kempinski emerged as the winner against pretty stiff competition. This year's competition, now called "The Joshua Roth New Talent Bonsai Competition", will be held at the 2003 conference of the Pacific Northwest Bonsai Club Association in Seattle in September. See http://psba.8m.com/con2003/ for further details on the conference. For details on how to participate in the competition, see http://psba.8m.com/con2003/talent.html This is to announce that I will sponsor one participant from the IBC by paying for his/her registration, hotel accommodation for 3 nights and $100 spending money [as long as it's not spent on mica pots ;-)]. The deadline for registration is August 1, 2003. Should there be more than one IBC participant, the one to register first will qualify for the sponsorship. The qualifying participant must have been a member of the IBC as of July 11, 2003.
