I have brought to my club the idea of making a website for it. we are a
small club so costs cannot be too steep. Where do i start?

You can do something as simple as a group on MSN. I have one just for my
far flung family to share pictures and a message board. We have one page
which is contact information. It doesn't cost anything. The quality of your
photography and interest in the subject material will be what you are
showcasing. Start simple, see how many are going to stick with it and see
if it is worth it to start spending money on it.
