Default [IBC] Making Cuttings from Trident Maples

Xref: kermit rec.arts.bonsai:75205

I have a Trident Maple. Some of the branches are new this year and some
are 2-3 years old. I would like to take cuttings of these. What is the
best way and time of year to do this?

I'm in Zone 5.

Thanks!!

Steve G.

M. Dirr recommends cuttings taken from a mature tree in late June and
treated with 2.0% IBA four nodes, tip removed, 9 perlite and 1 peat. 70
degrees F bottom heat.
