[IBC] Making Cuttings from Trident Maples
Xref: kermit rec.arts.bonsai:75205
I have a Trident Maple. Some of the branches are new this year and some are 2-3 years old. I would like to take cuttings of these. What is the best way and time of year to do this? I'm in Zone 5. Thanks!! Dirr recommends cuttings taken from a mature tree in late June and treated with 2.0% IBA four nodes, tip removed, 9 perlite and 1 peat. 70 degrees F bottom heat. ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by John Quinn++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
