Default [IBC] leaf spot on maple?

My trident maple has come down with a case of leaf spot (Phyllostictum).

My suggestions:
Give it more air and sun.
Use Pro-TeKt. This toughens the leaves & makes them more resistant.

Default [IBC] leaf spot on maple?

My trident maple has come down with a case of leaf spot
(Phyllostictum)...I'm nearly sure that is what it is after some research.
The lower branches particularly are losing some leaves (although it is
higher up the trunk as well). Everything on the internet says that it is
usually not a concern and does not require treatment, although this was in
the context of a full grown maple tree. Should I treat with a fungicide or
let it run its course? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much,
Conor

As Nina said, not to worry, but you _could_ look on it as a golden opportunity to do some leaf trimming. The new leaves shouldn't have it -- for a while.
