Default [IBC] Barbados Cherry---when to repot

Does anyone know when a Barbados Cherry should be repotted? I live in Southern California, and we typically repot tropicals in the hot season, July or August. I'm not sure if this tree falls in that category. I was told that some varieties of this tree are actually from Texas. This one was grown in Florida. Thank you for any help.
Vicky
