Well, I certainly have to agree with Mike. I couldn't believe I was hearing
people suggesting it for a bug killer to spray on your trees. I wonder how many ran out and sprayed trees right after they read that!! .. Heck, I sometimes will spray a weed with it to kill it when I'm out of roundup! Use it for what it is best for....removing tarr specks from the bottom of your car paint. :) Dale ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Persiano" To: Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 10:52 AM Subject: [IBC] Warning: WD40 People write: Anybody with a privet will have some scale. He uses it on all sorts of plants. He says results are almost immediate. Anyone want to try it on a small tree? And report back? I don't have any scale at the moment or I certainly would volunteer. ;-) Jim Lewis - Tallahassee, FL - - Friends: Would you spray your bonsai with Kerosine? WD40 is approximately 80% kerosine. The rest is tallow oil and a light grade lubricating oil. It may also contain graphite. My suggestion is that you consider using over-the-counter sprays that target your specific problem.
