[IBC] Help seed stratification issue
Hi everyone,
Background: I've been on the list for a while, but I don't think I've ever posted. Tonight I find myself in a situation. Relative to most people on this list, I am quite the newbie and I am trying cold stratification for the first time. I put 5 Chinese Elm seeds in a ziploc baggie, with some moist soil in my veggie compartment of my fridge 60 days ago. I have been *dying* to take them out. Tonight, I open the bags like it was Christmas day and *I CAN'T FIND MY SEEDS!!* due to being mixed in with all the bits of bark and soil. Actual question: Do the seeds change while going through cold stratification? (i.e. size, texture) Would the seeds disintegrate like a piece of wet bark if rubbed gently between the fingers? -------------------------------------- Jack Haines Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCDA, Sair Linux LCP jack [at] networkgod [dot] net -------------------------------------- ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Boon Manakitivipart++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
