Default [IBC] British Word Help (OT)

Sorry for the tangent. I hope I will be forgiven. I thought I had read enough
British detective stories to know all their terms, but there are a few new
(to me) ones that are not clear. And the Oxford English Dictionary online is by
subscription only.
Can someone from the Mother Country please define the following?
Council house
Council estate
Terraced cottage
Thank you.
Back to Bonsai,
Iris
