[IBC] BSF Convention

Went by the BSF Convention on Saturday morning. Spent all my money on a
couple of Dale C. pots and left.
I don't know how the vendors did. There were quite a few new ones. Last year
we had no one selling Roth tools and this time we had two.

Thanks Billy :) I appreciate it.
I certainly can't speak for all the vendors but I found this convention to
be the most poorly attended of the 7 I've done, BY FAR. Some vendors, me
included, hit hard, although most of the "tree selling" vendors I'd say
probably did ok since, in my opinion, this show was a bit "tree poor" in
the vending area. I think the supply of rough stock trees sold was evened
out by the lack of trees even in the face of poor attendance. Some past
vendors not there, notably Jupiter and Miami Tropical, both usually have
many tables and many trees, but I understand Jupiter will be back next year
at Gainsville. I heard they have a little larger area there also so there
may be some more spreading out.
Yes, AT LEAST two selling Roth tools, distributors, that hurts both, (
actually a few others also had a few) especially if that's all that one has
is tools! Too many tool or pots sellers is different than rough tree
sellers.
It was very disappointing turnout for the Florida group at their state
convention. I heard several speculate that it was possibly due to WBC but I
didn't buy that since most I saw from Florida at WBC were mostly ALSO at
the BSF convention.
Some said the change of date from Memorial Day to the 4th of July did it.
....Possibly?
Nice hotel, nice facility, nice rooms, nice close beachs ( for my wife)

regards,
Dale

_I_ think it was because the venue was the same as last
year. (?)
