Default leaves under fruit trees

Is it better to remove leaves from under fruit trees or leave them
to decay and serve as mulch? Trees in question are avocado, fig,
orange, plum, peach, and apricot.

hi,

personally i think leaves harbour nasties over winter. I usually gather them, burn them and work the ash into the soil under the tree. woodash is best but leaves do just as well.

hope this helps
